The 150 series has the larger filters that allow up to 70,000 miles changes, with ideal fuel quality or the smaller 95 series unit for shorter filter life but more compact size. Both units deliever the same amount of fuel. Please do not get mixed up between a series number such as the 150 and the 95 model with 150gph and 95gph. Filtered units 1st set of numbers are the series and the second set of numbers are the gph rating of the pump. Example 150/95 means a 150 series (larger of the two) and the 95 is the gph rating of the pump. The other numbers are application numbers only. The pump only units "Do Not" filter air, water or dirt, and must be used along with your stock or after market filter system.
PDR recommends it is best to not have more pump (rating of GPH) than what is needed for a given application, as the pump will live a shorter life by bypassing more than normal. For example: A stock engine to 600rwhp truck should run a 95gal per hr pump, as a 150gph pump would not benifit the engine at all. The engine isn't capable of using that much fuel and would be bypassing it's life away. Also the 150gph systems tend to be louder units, which can be anoying for a everyday driver. 150gph or higher units are for the extreme hp aplications only.
Considering the manufaturers poor quality transfer pump and the damage that can be done, FASS has the solution and with up to a 6 year warranty, FASS can't be beat. |
