The Cometic head gasket is a 5 MLS (Multi Layer Steel) gasket design. PDR recommends the cylinder head to be surfaced to 50RA or better and the engine block is preped to the same finish, as well as spraying the gasket with Ultra Copper spray and combinationed with a set of 14mm head studs can hold up to 80psi of drive pressure. ARP 625 12mm studs can hold up to 70psi and regular 12mm studs can handle up to 60psi.

 This is a great alternative to o-ringing and the cost of shipping a head, while offering comparable reliability.

Designed for the 1998.5-2002 Dodge 5.9L Cummins 24 valve applications.
