The PDR camshaft upgrade is designed for towing, daily driving and even sled pulling. Not recommended for over 4600RPM, as it is still a cast cam. It features higher lift, longer duration, and better lobe separation. These improvements have shown a 30% increase in air flow during flow testing on the bench. Best of all the design is mild enough to not require fly-cut pistons or other modifications.

Our brand new marine cams start from a semi finished core. The core features the cam lobe for the 12V lift pump. Each cam is checked and inspected, then precision ground to PDR specifications. This cam can be used in a 24V engine and allow a 24V engine to adopt the 12V style lift pump. Each kit includes a : PDR camshaft, gear retainer, and bolt. The kit does not include lifters (sold separately).The new marine cam is designed for the 1994-02 5.9L CTD only.
The marine cam shaft uses a retainer and bolt design, this stregthens the gear end of the cam shaft and decreases the chance of having the gear "walk" off on high HP applications.
The retainer bolt ties into the second journal in the cam shaft thus increasing the torsional strength of the unit.
This new marine camshaft is recommended for high HP trucks (over 450HP) but can be used in trucks with under 450HP.
A PDR camshaft can be installed in our shop or customer can simply install themselfs, if they have a cam install kit from Cummins or make one themselfs. Installing a new camshaft is a 10-12 hour job. An experienced do-it-yourself-er with good mechanical skills and tools can complete the install.

New lifters are required with this cam shaft. Use a high performance lube for inital cam/lifter breakin.
