Description
When installing an exhaust brake, there are two common mounting configurations. The typical installation is the InLineMount, which requires adapters to seal the airflow from the exhaust brake to the exhaust pipe. These adapters are mounted on either side of the brake and then clamped into place.
However, for Dodge vehicles from 2003 onwards, a DirectMount configuration is used. Here, the brake attaches directly to the turbocharger on one side and directly to the exhaust pipe on the other, eliminating the need for adapters.
